We're looking for a talented Development Coordinator to join our team! This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of the team for a unique non-profit development fund focused on commercial scripted and unscripted projects that address the climate crisis. This is a full time role working remotely.

Contract type:
Fixed Term Contract for 18 months (six months probation, potential for extension)

Contract start date: 1st February 2025 (negotiable)

Contract end date: 1st July 2026

Salary: £30,000 per annum (full time)

Holiday: 30 days per year

Location: Remote in the UK. Applicants must be based in the UK and have the right to work in the UK. Some travel for meetings in London will be required.

THE COMPANY

Climate Spring is a unique organisation working to develop content with the world’s leading production companies and broadcasters. We are a team made up of film and TV professionals, climate and funding experts. Our primary focus is on identifying, supporting and developing a range of long-form content that is commercially viable within the global English language market. We also provide consultancy and training support to the industry on climate storytelling within a commercial context. We provide funding, advice, connections, coordination and partnership.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Development Coordinator to join our team, to provide administrative support to Climate Spring.

Key responsibilities:

- To coordinate the delivery of our talent development scheme, The Hot House.

- To coordinate the delivery of our professional development script editor training scheme.

- To manage any script submissions on the system.

- To maintain a database of writers and contact lists.

- To provide support to the creative and executive team as a whole, including reading submissions and general research.

- To provide administrative / production support to the team as required, including booking of venues, transport etc.

- To coordinate team meetings and assist with scheduling external meetings.

- To champion talent and diversity in all aspects of our work.

Minimum role criteria:

- Passion for climate and environmental issues

- Interest in film, TV and storytelling

- Ability to use IT proficiently, including Google products and Zoom

- Experience administering projects or programmes

- Experience of handling confidential information with tact and sensitivity.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with a wide variety of internal and external colleagues and contributors.

- Able to work as a member of a team and work in a confident and collaborative way.

- Manage positive working relationships with colleagues.


To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

- Organisational and administrative skils

- Problem solving skills

- Communications skills - ability to express ideas clearly, write well and generate exciting ideas. Be a good writer and be able to condense vast amounts of information into a clear brief

- Teamwork - the ability to respond to the needs of the development team, adapting and meeting tight deadlines

- A passion for working within editorial

- Attention to detail

- Technical/IT experience

Additional skills not a requirement but advantageous:

- Experience working in a TV Editorial/Development department or in script development

- Experience working in Television and Film - knowledge of a wide range of programmes and popular trends/subjects
